Victim Witness Bureau - Monroe Co District Attorneys Office
The Victim Witness Bureau assists victims and survivors of crime by helping them cope with the demands of the criminal justice system after what is often a traumatic and life-altering event. Among other services, the Victim Witness Bureau can make referrals for counseling, arrange for transportation to and from court proceedings, provide interpreter services, assist in preparation of victim impact statements, register victims for notification of inmate status, and assist with applications for financial assistance from the NYS Office of Victim Services. Members of the Victim Witness Bureau are also available to provide training to community groups on victim rights and services in the Monroe County area.
