Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, named to honor and memorialize residents who served in World War I has been located on the northern edge of the village since 1924. Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital operates a 25-bed general acute care hospital, including 3-bed intensive care unit, medical-surgical and telemetry units and a 10-bed in-patient psychiatric unit.
