Senior meals center. Individuals must be at least 60 years of age and can be accompanied by their spouse and/or disabled child who resides with them, regardless of the location of their residence. Also, volunteers assisting with the meal can eat for no fee on the day of their service. Confidential and voluntary contributions for the meals are collected for the Monroe County Office for the Aging. Each meal contribution is suggested at $3.50 unless the senior earns more than 185% of the Federal Poverty Rate, then the suggested amount is $7.50, which is the cost to prepare the meal. If the seniors cannot afford the payment, they will not be turned away. Also, guests under the age of 60 must pay $7.50 each.
