My special emphasis is on "low vision" which helps conditions like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, inoperable cataracts and others. Telescopes and microscopes, magnifiers, and other optical and non-optical aids enhance the remaining vision and help with reading, TV, mobility, recognizing faces, and even driving.
