The LCOA initiates, conducts and coordinates programs and services to maximize wellness, independence, and quality of life for county residents 60 years of age and older, and their caregivers. Programs are aimed at supporting older adults to remain at home as long as is safely possible. Programs and services funded/offered include Senior Nutrition (congregate and home delivered meals), Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly, Information and Assistance, NY Connects, Caregiver Services, Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance, Foster Grandparent, Legal Services, and Health Promotion.
